What are Checks and Tickets?

An XRP Ledger Check does not lock funds when it is created. The recipient receives value only after a successful cash transaction, which can fail if funds, trustlines, authorization, or other ledger conditions are no longer sufficient.

Tickets reserve sequence numbers for future transactions. Creating them consumes account reserve while they exist, and they should be managed only if you understand XRPL transaction sequencing.

Always review the destination, asset, amount or minimum delivery, expiration, reserve impact, and fee before approving either operation.
